When I envision the future for myself, my loved ones, my community and the world, I always go back to sustainability and its ties to waste reduction. My piece embodies the impact we leave on our earth and the idea of sustainability/consumerism through fashion. I have always been excited about thrifted, hand-me-down and vintage pieces and I believe it is the way toward the future – to consciously consume, care for, reimagine & reuse garments in many forms, either as they were originally intended, or broken down and recreated into something new.
